Firefighters participate in the National Car Wash League.

Stradbrooke Road, Lowestoft

Firefighters from Lowestoft North & South are using their buckets and hoses for something other than fire fighting this Sunday as they take part in the annual National Car Wash League to raise money for charity.

On March 17th the team will begin washing cars to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity which provides support and rehabilitation to the fire and rescue community.

The charity was founded over 70 years ago to support families of the firefighters who lost their lives in the Blitz.

This incredible charity does not receive regular government funding and relies completely on the generous donations and good will of the public.

The Charity Car Wash takes place at the Fire Station on Stradbrooke Road from 10am, this Sunday
