Discover Lowestoft this Easter

Lowestoft

As Spring arrives we welcome you to ‘Love, Shop, Play, Stay, Eat and Play’ as you Discover Lowestoft this Easter.

The Easter fun gets underway in Lowestoft town centre with the Easter Trail. To take part simply  find our Easter Bunny posters situated in shop windows and complete our trail leaflet by writing down the names of our cute Easter Bunnies.

Each correctly completed entry form handed in before 5PM on the day to our kind Sponsor IJustWanna Candy, 70 High Street, Lowestoft, will receive a FREE tasty candy Easter treat which is enough to get those taste buds tingling.

The Easter trails continue on Easter Sunday with the annual Lowestoft Lions Easter Egg Hunt in Sparrows Nest Gardens. As well as hunting for Easter Eggs families can also enjoy live entertainment.

There is no shortage of family days out as the town’s tourist attractions open to the public. Dare to ride Marble Madness or Wipeout at Pleasurewood Hills, explore African plains at Africa-Alive, take a glimpse at the towns past at the Maritime Museum and Lowestoft’s Broad House Museum or take a tram ride at the East Anglia Transport Museum.

No visit to the town is complete without a visit to Lowestoft south beach. Parts of the promenade which were closed have now been reopened following 18 months of refurbishment.  Enjoy strolls along the seafront, visit the Claremont Pier or take a ride on the Easter weekend seafront road train.

If travelling between Lowestoft and Oulton Broad why not board the River taxi which will be operating from Good Friday between Mutford Lock and the South Pier’s Heritage Quay.

Should those April showers arrive there is plenty of entertainment to choose from, Head to the Marina Theatre to catch a show or watch a film, Visit Richards family bowl to see which member of the family is Kingpin or take a trip to Adventure Island Playpark as a place for the children to let of some steam.

If you are looking to be a little more active this Easter then Waterlane Leisure Centre has a wide programme of children’s and leisure activity. Britain’s most Easterly Park Run takes place each Saturday for a friendly 5KM run where everyone is welcome.

Have a wonderful Easter from everyone at Discover Lowestoft
