Heritage Festival

Lowestoft at 10:00 AM

For a second year running the much loved Heritage festival is back and this time it's bigger with more than 70 family friendly events.

Elizabeth Talbot star of the show Flog-It will be opening the first of the events that are set to run over two long weekends between September 6th - 9th and September 13th - 16th.

Since the start of the European Heritage Days in 1994 it has grown significantly and is now the country's largest heritage festival with more than 800 towns taking part.

Some of the events include demonstrations by local fisherman, community singing, ghost walks, historical reenactments, art exhibitions, music and poetry readings from local authors and backstage tours.

The penultimate day sees a performance from Diana Moore who was born and raised Lowestoft and who has performed at The Proms, Carnegie Hall, westminster Abby and all over the world.

All of the attractions are free to attend and full list of the events can be viewed on the link above.
